It’s time to get your WonderCon badges and hotel rooms. The hotel rooms have actually seen lots of activity–a couple of the hotels have already sold out some nights, including the headquarters hotel, JW Marriott.
Wondercon has grown into a major convention, leaving San Francisco a few years ago and landing in Anaheim, heading to Los Angeles this year. For everyone who can’t secure a San Diego Comic-con badge, make sure not to miss Wondercon. It’s the sister convention of the larger Comic-con event, but with half the crowds (although that’s quickly changing!). It has an incredible lineup of talent, weighted more toward publishing and anime, although some of the studios do make an appearance. Considering Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War arrives in early May, they may make an appearance at WonderCon this year–especially since they skipped San Diego. We wouldn’t be surprised if Wonder Bros shows some love to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The convention has managed to secure some pretty amazing rates for the convention — the hotels surrounding the LA Convention center are usually a bit more pricey. Maybe LA is going to do a full-court press to keep the convention. We’ll worry about that later. But for now, get your badges and hotel rooms. Make sure you come!
