Hardly anyone knew his name–or that he even existed–but we’ve all lost one fo the true heroes of Marvel Studios’ Guardian of the Galaxy.
The real-life raccoon who was used as the model for the gun-happy ROCKET RACCOON from Guardian of the Galaxy films has died. His name was Oreo, and he was cared for by Quinta Layla, a group in Portugal. They posted on their Facebook page about Oreo’s passing:
“We have only the saddest news today. Our hearts are broken as we have lost our best friend, our Guardian of our Galaxy Mr Oreo Raccoon. Oreo passed away in the early hours of this morning after a very short illness. Many thanks to our wonderful vets for their compassion and care. Oreo you made so many people’s lives happy. You have been an amazing ambassador for raccoons everywhere.You loved all people of all ages and other animals too and were never phased by anything be it a walk down the red carpet as Rocket Raccoon, a trip to a hospice to visit a sick child or anything else that came your way. You just enjoyed everything and it showed.”
Not really a sad day, raccoons in general dont live very long, hell many dont get to live past 2. The life of a raccoon is hard in general, running from predators, dodging cars and gambling with food. They dont know the food they dig out the trash or on the ground ain’t poisoned, they just know that they’re hungry and realize that food is not readily available and they need to take the chance and eat whats placed in front of them or risk losing their life to starvation. People who make these beautiful animals pets should be ashamed of themselves, this raccoon was no doubt someones pet, disgusting behavior! The human in charge of caring for him is a disgusting disgraceful individual, she no doubt did what everyone else does when presented with a sentiental creature to care for which is spoil the hell out of it by feeding it loads of highly processed foods and endless Amounts of junk food. To the person who owned that raccoon, if your reading this… im very disappointed in you, you took an innocent little creatures life and used as a cash cow to rise to fame and fortune and when it died YOU ! Not the animal YOU took all the money that was made during the animals rise to fame and spent it on yourself, meanwhile the animal that you called oreo was sitting on the sidelines in a cold dark rusted cage whimpering and crying to be freed from the very prison that you bestowed upon him. I hope that the raccoon is in a better place now that his suffering and torment is over, the same cannot be said for the people who used that raccoon like a credit card with endless funds on it , i hope you all rot in the deepest parts of hell and your ashes scattered across a toxic barren land with nothing but hot molten lava and toxic gaseous fumes for comfort, you stupid rich ass fuck dumb fuckers, fuck you!!! All !!
