CONFIRMED: MARVEL STUDIOS IS HEADING BACK TO HALL H and TO D23 in 2026

This isn’t completely surprising news, but it is welcome news, nonetheless…. After a spectacular Hall H presentation in 2024, Marvel is again heading down to San Diego Comic-Con to deliver another camp-out-all-night promotional push for its upcoming slate of films… namely AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY! It was confirmed exclusively by THE WRAP that Kevin Feige and the gang plan to wow fans again at Comic-Con’s largest panel room, HALL H… Marvel sat out 2025’s event, which was disappointing but understandable considering that DOOMSDAY’s release date was pushed back six months. Also, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is primed to make a hoped-for appearance, along with Marvel’s TV slate, including VisionQuest, the third season of Daredevil: Born Again, and hopefully more. (Fingers crossed for news on Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, aka, the Scarlet Witch!).

And let’s be honest… Marvel DEFINITELY needs a big win. Ever since the release of mega-hit Avengers: Endgame, it seems that Marvel’s output has been—shall we say—slightly below what came before… Except for the fantastic Shang Chi, which was definitely a winner!

And speaking of Endgame, it’s interesting to note that directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who are back for Doomsday, pulled a George Lucas retcon on us, by announcing that Endgame will be making a return to theaters in September, and will contain brand new scenes that will set up to Doomsday. And whereas some critics are crying foul, saying this is a cheap way to get folks back in theaters, I gotta tell ya… I’m all for it! Can’t wait to see Endgame on the big screen again, and this time utilizing Disney’s new Infinity Vision, a new certification for premium large format (PLF) theaters. Done in collaboration with global theatrical exhibition partners, Infinity Vision will signify to audiences which auditoriums offer the biggest, brightest, and most immersive cinematic experiences.

Here’s hoping that Doomsday and this year’s Hall H panel match those sky-high expectations.
