We were kinda hoping for a return to the Anaheim Convention Center, where it was in 2015, because the Los Angeles Convention Center can be pretty challenging to find parking… But we’ll take it. This is the same location where Los Angeles Comic Con is held each year. It’s pretty huge. It will be interesting to see how they configure the large presentation rooms for their marquee panels. One of the hallmarks of Star Wars Celebration is that they feature massive panels with tons of actors, talent, and more. With theatre-style seating, they can configure the West Hall to 15,000 guests! But I’m not sure they’d actually go that big… it would make it hard to see the panelists.

Sometimes the adjacent Peacock Theater is used for major presentations. The LA Convention Center is also adjacent to a large theater complex, so special screenings would be possible. And since the emphasis of this particular Celebration will be on the original 1977 film, it’s likely that a screening (or two) of the ORIGINAL film will be shown… And to note, Lucasfilm is releasing the original, Han-shot-first version of the film in theaters next year. (the pre-special editions version).

Get your tickets beginning May 6… we’ll see you there!
