Los Angeles is the center of the pop culture and fandom universe, so it only makes sense that it has a giant comic con befitting its lofty position in our media landscape. So, if you’re in the Southern California area the first weekend of December, make sure to check out L.A. Comic Con, the biggest fall event on the west coast. How big? Last year they topped 126,000 attendees, and this year promises to be even bigger! Filled with all the panels, cosplay, and actors from your favorite shows, the event happens December 1 – 3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles. Here’s all you need to know:

MARVEL COMICS PORTFOLIO REVIEW

Marvel Comics’ talent scout Rickey Purdin will be performing portfolio reviews at Los Angeles Comic Con. Artists who’d like to be considered for a portfolio review, please drop off and submit your portfolio copies (no original art) at Room 509 on Friday, December 1 from 4pm – 8pm or Saturday, December 2 from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Artists who submit must return the morning after drop off to confirm if they are selected for a portfolio review.
