Set to premiere on October 11, here’s a look at the newest monster-hunting show on the CW. It’s THE WINCHESTERS, featuring John (Drake Rodger) and Mary (Meg Donnelly), the parents of Sam and Dean Winchester from the long-running (and concluded–for now) SUPERNATURAL. The prequel show is told from the perspective of Dean (Jensen Ackles), who is a producer on the series. Fans will remember how Jared Padelecki seemed rot be caught off-guard and slightly hurt by the announcement that his good friend and long-time partner-in-crime and on-screen brother Ackles had pitched this show without Jared’s knowledge. But fences were mended, and we now get our first look at what to expect in the trailer, here.
Didn’t John Winchester only find out about demons etc after Mary was killed, there was that episode where Johns Dad came back and we learnt he had thought he had walked out on him and his mum. Prequels usually = loads of contradictions.
