YOWZA! PRICES FOR DISNEY WORLD’S STAR WARS IMMERSIVE HOTEL ARE INDEED GALACTIC

It’s a pretty steep price to fly with Chewbecca…. We can save our pennies, but it’s still a price tag in a budget far, far away…. We’re of course talking about the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, the immersive hotel and LARPing experience under construction at Walt Disney World. And even though we’re sure that Disney has an outrageously awesome experience in the works, we hope that eventually the costs come back down to earth.

On the recently updated Starcruiser website, there are “sample standard cabin rates” listed. For a cabin with two guests, it’s a total of $4,809, breaking down to $1,209 per person per night. Um…. That rivals the prices at top-tier  luxury stays, such as the presidential suites at Grand Floridian and Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Three guests per cabin is $5,299 (thus, $889 per person per night), while four guests runs $5,999 total ($749 per person per night). These are rates for “most weeknights” between Aug. 20, 2022 and Sept. 17, 2022.

That price includes onboard experiences, seven meals (gratuity included) and the two nights of lodging in the standard cabin that Disney says sleeps four to five people (a queen bed, two bunk beds, one pull-down bed).

Of course, these are standard prices and don’t include the upgrade rooms. For a galaxy class suite, there’s a living space in addition to the sleeping space plus a double vanity bathroom, bar area and two windows with space views. It holds four people. The Grand Captain Suite sleeps eight people in its two bedrooms. There’s a “posh living space” plus two bathrooms and three windows. Sample rates for the suites are not provided on the site yet, but can be expected to be equally stratospheric.

DINING

Night-time meals begin with a table-service supper club in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. You can upgrade to the captain’s table seating. This meal promises the appearance of a well-known galactic superstar… our money is on Han Solo…. since Corellia is his home planet. Or at least Chewie.

Night two is at the Taste Around the Galaxy for food inspired by destination planets.

Breakfast and lunch include some Bubo Wamba Family Farms blue milk.

For adults, Sublight Lounge has alcoholic drinks and smugglers and holo-sabacc gamers.

ITINERARY

Guests will take part in a captain’s reception, bridge training, lightsaber training (for ages 7 and up), meals, and an end-of-cruise gala. Day two will also feature an off-ship excursion to Batuu (to experience the two big attractions within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios).

Windows have been replaced with screens that depict views of different planets and space vistas throughout the journey.
