Do you still Want To Believe? Well, dust off your trusty flashlight, because we’re about to get a comedy nugget for X-Files Fans! While the top Fox brass work out the details on another season of the super-popular X-Files return (hopefully, maybe, possibly later this year???? We got word that more episodes could be on the way), they’ve gone ahead and given us a funny take on the whole X-Files story with Ghosted, a comedy series starring Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation) and Craig Robinson (Hot Tub Time Machine). It’s set in Los Angeles (the home of everything that’s weird in this world, anyway) and it promises to hit both our funny bone and our conspiracy hunger.

From The Hollywood Reporter
The single-camera comedy landed at Fox in August with a hefty pilot-production commitment. Ghosted is described as a comedic take on The X-Files and centers on a cynical skeptic (The Office’s Robinson), and a genius “true believer” in the paranormal (Parks and Rec’s Scott) who are recruited by The Bureau Underground to look into the rampant “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles — all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race. The comedy reunites Scott and Robinson, who previously starred together in 2015’s Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Should the project move to series, it would mark Scott’s return to broadcast comedy following his memorable role on NBC’s Parks and Rec. His other credits include HBO’s upcoming limited series Big Little Lies. Robinson, meanwhile, is poised to host Spike’s Caraoke Showdown series and last starred on NBC’s short-lived Mr. Robinson in addition to an arc on USA Network’s Mr. Robot and multiple guest spots on Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine. From DEADLINE
The timing of Ghosted is good as the project, described as a comedic X-Files, is targeted for next season when the recently rebooted signature Fox sci-fi drama is expected to return for another installment. (yes!!!) Full article here >>>
