Disney’s corporate cousins are competing in the online news show category–following Lucasfilm’s launch of “THE STAR WARS SHOW” this week, Marvel announces their own show: THWIP! THE BIG MARVEL SHOW,” a weekly insiders’ roundup of all things Marvel, including the films, the TV shows, the comic-books, and the fan conventions. And in case you’re wondering, THWIP! is the sound that’s made by Spider-Man’s web shooters. You can watch the first episode here:

Following Lucasfilm’s launch of an online variety showintended to recap and curate news regarding the Star Warsproperty, Disney sibling Marvel Entertainment has followed suit with the announcement of THWIP! The Big Marvel Show.
Hosted by Lorraine Cink and vp/executive editor for Marvel Digital Media Ryan Penagos, the weekly series will offer “the inside scoop on all things Marvel from Marvel HQ in New York City,” according to an official release from the company, including “special guests, variety segments and lots of audience interaction using the hashtag #MarvelTHWIP.”
