WHAT:
 Los Angeles Comic Con (L.A. Comic Con) celebrates its ninth and best-yet year in the entertainment capital of the world at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In 2018, over 106,000 fans joined L.A. Comic Con for celebrity panels, autograph signings, activations, comics, cosplay, and pop culture fanfare. The event plays host to 800+ artists and vendors, selling comics, collectibles, art, toys, apparel, and everything in-between. This year, 130,000 guests including 10,000 kids over three days are expected to attend. Attendees will have the chance to get up close and personal with some of the biggest and best names in the entertainment industry with a handpicked selection of panels, events, costume contests, and meet and greet opportunities. L.A. Comic Con will be emceed by Clarke Wolfe, Actress (SATANIC PANIC, MEMORY: THE ORIGINS OF ALIEN), Host, and Writer (DC Universe, Nerdist, Collider, SyFy, and More). Special guests include Ron Perlman, Drake Bell, Gerard Way, and Actor Elijah Wood, who is also the Founder of Company X/SpectreVision whose partner agency Company X Marketing is the AOR for LA Comic Con.

KROQ Live Broadcast – Stryker & Klein

Join Stryker and Klein live from the L.A. Comic Con show floor during a live broadcast where they will discuss what’s in store for attendees of the Con and  interview talent, including Gabriel Iglesias and Jacob Vargas of “Mr. Iglesias” and Actor/ Musician, Drake Bell. The Library Bards Performance

Bonnie Gordon and Xander Jeanneret of the Library Bards take to the stage for some nerd-centric pop parody stylings! Join in the fun from 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. on the Main Stage!

King Vader – “My Hood Academia” Recreation

Instagram and YouTube sensation King Vader joins the Main Stage of LA Comic Con from 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with the crew from Wolf Graphic as they give a live recreation of his epic series My Hood Academia streamed to his millions of fans! Vader will invite the audience to join in the recreation and, for the first time, participate in a live Q&A exclusive to guests at L.A. Comic Con!

Half Truth with Ken Jennings and Richard Garfield

From the minds of Jeopardy legend Ken Jennings and Magic the Gathering creator Richard Garfield comes a new trivia game called Half Truth! Think you can challenge the champs? Now’s your chance! Catch Half Truth on the Main Stage from 4:30 p.m. – 5:25 p.m.

Netflix “Mr. Iglesias” Panel – Presented by the Latin Programming Non-Profit, El Cine

Class is in session! Join Gabriel Iglesias, star and executive producer of “Mr. Iglesias,” a comedy series from Netflix, now in its third season. Jacob Vargas, who plays Tony Ochoa, a fellow history teacher at Woodrow Wilson High, and Sherri Shepherd, who plays Principal Paula Madison, will participate in a panel discussion. Iglesias stars as a good-natured public high school teacher who works at his alma mater teaching gifted misfit kids. The panel will be on the Main Stage from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

“Infinity Train” and Cartoon Network – Live Episode Scoring

Presented during Saturday Morning Cartoons on the main stage, an episode of “Infinity Train” will be accompanied by a special live score led by Composer, Morgan Z, of “Chrome Canyons” and joined by “Infinity Train” Series Creator, Owen Dennis. The episode and scoring will be held on the Main Stage during Saturday Morning Cartoons at 10:30 a.m.

Creatures in Features with Voice Actors Lex Lang, Sandy Fox – Audience Participation Panel

Lex Lang has voiced animals, creatures, zombies, undead, aliens, vampires and werewolves in over 50 blockbuster films, including “Star Wars” (Rogue One, Solo, The Last Jedi), “The Fantastic Four,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Deadpool” (1 & 2), “Spiderman into the Spiderverse,” and many more. Join Lex, Moderator and fellow Voice Actor Sandy Fox, and special guests (based on availability) in this inside-the-studio look into voicing creatures in feature films and television. Audience members will get an opportunity to go on the mic and voice iconic creatures in a Hollywood blockbuster film. This fan-favorite will be in Room 409AB from 10:00 a.m. – 11:20 a.m.

Behind the Screams: Music for Horror & Thrillers

Join critically acclaimed and award-winning composers John Murphy (28 Days Later), Emily Rice (The I-Land), Taylor Newton Stewart (The Haunting of Hill House), and Timothy Williams (Brightburn) as they discuss their process for scoring the spine-chilling music from some of the most popular horror films and thrillers of all time. Moderated by Kaya Savas of FilmMusicMedia and located in Room 403A 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Spotlight On: Kel Mitchell

Awww, here goes! We sit down with actor Kel Mitchell, best known for his TV roles on “Kenan & Kel,” “All That,” and “Game Shakers,” and movies “Good Burger” and “Mystery Men!” Meet Kel in Room 408AB from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Space Station Earth

Award-winning British & French composer Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Still Alice), along with European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Andreas Mogensen, will discuss their latest project, the stunning new show called “Space Station Earth.” The music-led, multi-media experience features Eshkeri’s music alongside images shot by astronauts aboard the International Space Station. Moderated by Chandler Poling of White Bear PR. Located in Room 403A from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

“Kim Possible” Reunion

What’s the sitch? It’s a Kim Possible reunion! Don’t miss your chance to see Christy Carlson Romano (voice of Kim Possible) and Will Friedle (voice of Ron Stoppable) on a panel to reminisce about their former spy days. This will be located on the Main Stage from 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Press Start: Scoring for Video Games

What started as simple electronic noises in video games has now grown into lush orchestral and experimental musical productions. This panel will feature composers Austin Wintory (Journey, The Banner Saga), Nainita Desai (Telling Lies), Sarah Schachner (Anthem, Assassin’s Creed Origins) and Jon Everist (BattleTech). Listen as the composers discuss their creative process, how they broke into the industry, and what goes into creating the music for some of your favorite video games. Located in Room 403A from 12:30 p.m. – 1:20 p.m.

Tribute: Rob Liefeld Remembers Stan Lee

Join Comic Legend and Deadpool Creator, Rob Liefeld, as he celebrates our generalissimo, the incredible Stan Lee. This tribute will feature a personal and candid look back on Rob and Stan’s relationship with stories, images, and fond memories from their 30+ year-long friendship. Located on the Main Stage from 1:00 p.m. – 1:25 p.m.

A Musical History of Batman

The Dynamic Music Partners – Lolita Ritmanis (Batman: The Killing Joke), Kristopher Carter (Batman Beyond), and Michael McCuistion (Batman: Harley Quinn) who all three got their start as composers on Batman: The Animated Series, will present a Musical History of Batman starting from the Adam West TV Batman to the current sounds associated with the Dark Knight. So many different styles have followed the masked man. What were the influences of the time and how has the character matured musically over the decades? These questions and more will be addressed followed by an audience Q&A. Located in Room 403A from 1:30 p.m. – 2:20 p.m.

Through a Genre Lens – Horror Cinema in the New Era & The Films of SpectreVision

Horror cinema is experiencing a renaissance, attracting filmmakers with unique visions that have elevated the genre from grindhouse to arthouse. Since coming onto the scene in 2013, boutique production company SpectreVision has been at the forefront of this movement with titles like “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night” and “Mandy.” Partners Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah, and Lisa Whalen will be on hand to talk about the state of horror cinema and to offer sneak peeks from their upcoming films “Daniel Isn’t Real” and “Color Out of Space” on the Main Stage from 2:00 p.m. – 2:25 p.m.


“Jay and Silent Bob Reboot” Panel

Snoochie Boochie! Join Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes at 2:30 p.m. for a very special “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot” panel on the Main Stage from 2:30 p.m. – 2:55 p.m., followed by a “Jay and Silent Bob” cosplay photoshoot at the Quick Stop Wall with the two stars from the classic film!

Panel: Voices of Overwatch

I need help pushing the payload! Join us as we sit down with Josh Petersdorf (Roadhog), Jen Cohn (Pharah) and Anjali Bhimani (Symmetra) as they talk about the gaming phenomenon! The panel will be held in Room 408AB at 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and moderated by Comedian and Host, Lacretia Lyon.

Behind the Scenes of Celebrating Movie Musicals Live

Director/Producer Richard Kraft pulls back the curtain on the process of mounting live-to-film experiences at The Hollywood Bowl like Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, La La Land and beyond. He is joined by a panel of show creators including famed illustrator Shag, 2-time Oscar-winning composer Justin Hurwitz (La La Land), Executive Event Producer John Kinsner (Rocketman: Live in Concert), Associate Event Producer Melissa Axel, and Media Director for Mousetrappe Ryan Kravetz. Located in Room 403A from 2:30 p.m. – 3:20 p.m.

WOW Wrestling Match

Jeanie Buss’ powerful roster of Superheroes from AXS TV’s groundbreaking hit series WOW – Women Of  Wrestling soar into the 9TH Annual Los Angeles Comic Con. The Beast will compete against The Lioness in the ring at Booth #103 on the Convention Floor at 3:00 p.m.

Storytelling in Video Games

An inside look at Swedish developer Machinegames’ critically acclaimed Wolfenstein video game series – set in an alternate universe where the Nazis won the war. Meet the casts of “The New Order,” “The New Colossus,” and the recent “Youngblood,” and find out what makes the stories and acting in these award-winning narrative games so compelling. Featuring cast members Brian Bloom, Alicja Bachleda, Debra Wilson, Nina Franoszek, Shelby Young, and Valerie Rose Lohman. The panel will be moderated by director Tom Keegan, who will also give insights into the casting process of video games. Located in Room 403A 3:30 p.m. – 4:20 p.m.

Oh hi, attendees! Come see a screening of the cult classic movie, The Room, followed by a Q&A with Tommy Wiseau himself! The screening and Q&A will be held in Room 411 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:55 p.m.

There will be a very special Zombieland: Double Tap surprise that you won’t want to miss brought to you by director Ruben Fleischer at 4:30 pm on the Main Stage.

Official L.A. Comic Con After Party – READY PARTY ONE

READY PARTY ONE is coming to Los Angeles to rock the beautiful Globe Theater for an incredible Saturday night party following the Con, just one mile from the convention center! The after party will feature celebrity guests, some of your favorite personalities and influencers, and more! A lineup of incredible DJs and live acts featuring the official “Back To The Future” band The Flux Capacitors will be giving you an unforgettable night of entertainment! Dungeons and Dragons, the original RPG is more popular now than it has ever been thanks to a streamlined gaming system, pop culture shout outs from Stranger Things, and the popularity of streaming shows like Critical Role. Join Luke Gygax, the son of D&D co-creator Gary Gygax and moderator David Baxter (Legion M) as they take an in-depth look at the origins of the game from someone who literally grew up as the game was born and saw the rise, fall, and rise of one of the most influential tabletop games of all time. Mystery Science Theater 3000: Jonah Ray and Felicia Day

Felicia Day and Jonah Ray go in-depth on Mystery Science Theater 3000, and what it’s like to take on a cult favorite such as MST3K. This panel is located on the Main Stage from 11:30 a.m. – 11:55 a.m.

Indoor Trick-or-Treat

This year, we’re inviting all kids 12 and under to CLEAN UP at L.A.’s safest, most well-lit, indoor trick-or-treat experience! This event is for children 12 and under and will take place in the South Hall at the Los Angeles Convention Center. All vendor booths will have candy and costumes are not required. The Trick-or-Treat will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Panel: Mayans MC

Mayans hasta la muerte! Join Clayton Cardenas, Richard Cabral, Michael Irby, and Frankie Loyal as they go in-depth on their biker drama, Mayans M.C. Join the Mayans in Room 408AB from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Gold Meets Golden Presents: Athletic Superheroes

In a sea of fictional superheroes at L.A. Comic Con, six athletes who have competed in overall twelve Olympic and Paralympic Games from various sporting disciplines, discuss what it’s like to be deemed an “Athletic Super Hero” during their period of competition every four years. The panel will include Danell Leyva, two-time Olympian in Gymnastics, Katie Uhlaender, four-time Olympian in Skeleton and Track Cycling, Johnny Hooper, Water Polo Champion qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Lolo Jones, three-time Olympian in Track & Field and Bobsled, Mallory Weggeman, two-time Paralympian Swimmer and IPC World Champion, and Mirai Nagasu, two-time Olympic Figure Skater. You’ll hear what summons them to embody their own “powers” in the pool, track, slopes and gym, and which comic book superheroes they look up to for entertaining inspiration. Entertainment industry professionals discuss how to turn your favorite geeky fandoms into flourishing careers, the challenges and rewards of growing up gay, and how being a member of the LGBT community influenced their work. Join voice-over actor JP Karliak (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Batman: The Killing Joke), Director of Development at Escape Artists Logan Kreite, Decca Publishing’s Fran Goncalves, Filmmaker/Blogger Terence Johnson, and CEO of Qweerty Ray Lancione for a look into their upbringing and what geeky hobbies they hold on to. Saber Legion Lightsaber Finals
Who has the higher ground? Come see the final round of The SCSA Dewback Invitational at LACC, where we will find out who at L.A. Comic Con wields their lightsaber best! Come witness the action on the Main Stage from 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
