Chris Pratt for president! He’s the new King of the World — at least in San Diego this year. From lowly and lovable Andy Dwyer on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, to the lofty and lovable mega-star of such franchise films as Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World (not to mention a rumored possible part in the next Indiana Jones franchise), Pratt is the biggest star in the world right now. So what does that mean for Comic-Con? Marvel WILL be there this year, and they’re bringing the cast from Guardians of the Galaxy 2, headlined by Pratt. Expect some big-time pizazz and footage. But Pratt has some other films that will most likely leave a footprint on Hall-H this year as well, both of them from Sony: The Magnificent Seven (with Denzel) and Passengers (with Jennifer Lawrence). Since Sony is SURELY going to be there with their new-and-improved Spider-Man (Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr!!!), it makes sense that they’d show off Pratt’s films too. Oh, and there’s a small, remote (but not completely stupid) possibility that if Universal has a panel, Pratt might come out and mention a little dinosaur movie he’s in. It’s two years away, but why waste a Pratt moment.
We discuss all the films at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con on this episode of The Con Guy Show…with a little help from Chris Pratt’s Star Lord. Enjoy!
