We saw it! We saw it! We saw an early screening of Captain America: Civil War, and our one-word review is this: AMAZING! And that’s putting it lightly. Marvel’s latest cinematic extravaganza is battling it out as our favorite Marvel film ever. Favorite super hero film ever. And Spider-Man? This is the BEST onscreen Peter Parker/Spider-Man yet.

The Russo Brothers, who directed Civil War, as well as Captain America’s last outing in Winter Soldier, are absolute masters of their craft….which makes us VERY happy that they are also directing the upcoming Infinity War films. Civil War is chock-full of characters—LOTS of them, but it never feels too crowded. Each character is crafted and written with care, directed with skill, and presented onscreen with such fun and excitement, we can’t wait to see this film again. And again. It opens nationally May 6 (previews Thursday night May 5)…and it can’t get here soon enough. Don’t believe us? Then read what everyone else has to say:
The first screenings of Captain America: Civil War blew some critics’ minds away this weekend, with many saying that it’s the best Marvel movie yet. It has some of the most intense fight sequences ever, and many are praising Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther stealing the show.
Surprise, surprise: people seem to absolutely love the film, with special shout-outs going to the new Spider-Man and Black Panther, but also quite a lot a talk about character development and solid plot. That big airport fight is also, reportedly, as awesome as the trailers made it look, so, there’s that.
