Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto will make his first-ever appearance outside of Japan in October at New York Comic Con and New York Super Week. As of September 2014, the manga has over 200 million copies in print, with over 130 million copies in Japan and the remaining 75 million being overseas, making it the third best-selling manga series in history. Here in the states, we saw the anime adaptation on Cartoon Network’s adult swim. There were also ten films.

Viz Media, which is supporting Kishimoto’s appearance at NYCC, also announced an upcoming slate of Naruto releases, beginning with the Oct. 5 debut of the final volume.
