This panel will feature professional composers across film, television, and video games, talking about their creative approach to writing memorable music and how they maintain momentum in their careers.

Stephanie Economou is a Grammy-winning composer known for her scores for DreamWorks Animation’s Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken and Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, as well as Universal’s My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, Lionsgate’s About My Father, and Netflix’s Jupiter’s Legacy. She is also the composer of the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla expansions “The Siege of Paris” and “Dawn of Ragnarök,” the latter of which earned her the historic 2023 Grammy Award for Best Score for Video Games and Other Interactive Media, making her the first-ever winner in the new category. Tori Letzler is a Los Angeles based composer, vocalist, and electronic producer using her diverse talents and eclectic experiences to create compelling music for multimedia. Tori composed the music for Netflix’s Russian spy sci-fi thriller In from the Cold, crafting a synth-heavy score inspired by the 90’s industrial movement combined with soft and weirdly affected vocals. She also scored the animated short Fetch on Disney+ through Disney Animation’s Short Circuit program. In 2018, she produced ‘The Future is Female’ concert in Los Angeles, co-sponsored by BMI & Live Nation, highlighting the musical work of twelve female composers including herself. As a vocalist, Tori has sung on over 40 scores from heavyweight composers such Hans Zimmer, Brian Tyler, Lorne Balfe, Rupert Gregson-Williams, and more on major productions such as Wonder Woman, Batman vs. Superman, The Tomorrow War, and American Horror Story.

Kara Talve is a Grammy and four-time Emmy Award-nominated composer for film and television, and she is a principal composer at Bleeding Fingers Music. Most recently, Kara’s work on NBC’s The Americas received a 2025 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series or Special. Prior to this, she scored The Tattooist of Auschwitz alongside Hans Zimmer, and she co-wrote Barbra Streisand’s song “Love Will Survive,” which was nominated for a Grammy in 2024.
