We knew the anticipation for the new Merc with a Mouth trailer was big… but little did we know it was THIS big… The new trailer for Marvel and Disney’s Deadpool & Wolverine (that’s the name!) racked up 365 million views in the first 24 hours, making it the most watched movie trailer in history. Wow! The previous record holder was Spider-Man: No Way Home, which scored 355 million views during its first 24 hours in August 2021.
The first Deadpool, released in 2016, shocked everyone with a massive $132 million box-office opening weekend, en route to an eventual $363 million total. The second installment of the franchise also delivered huge numbers. The third — which is the first film since Disney bought 20th Century Fox, the owner of the Deadpool franchise — is expected to finally pull Marvel out of its recent doldrums.
