The cast and executive producers of AMC’s original hit series Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: Dead City, the newest installment in The Walking Dead Universe, will present panels, sneak peeks and news reveals at this year’s WonderCon in Anaheim, CA.
Perhaps one of the biggest stars of the whole Walking Dead franchise is coming back to Wondercon this year—Lauren Cohan, aka MAGGIE! She’s part of The Walking Dead: Dead City panel, which will also include cast member Gaius Charles, along with executive producer and showrunner Eli Jorné. The panel will be moderated by Host and Comedian Chris Hardwick. Sounds awesome, although we’re holding out hope that Jeffrey Dean Morgan, aka NEEGAN, will also make an appearance. We heard he was going to be there, but the press release doesn’t mention him.
Fear the Walking Dead panelists include cast members Kim Dickens, Jenna Elfman and Karen David, along with executive producer and co-showrunner Ian Goldberg. The panel will be moderated by Host and Comedian Chris Hardwick.

The eighth season begins after the conclusion of Season 7, when Morgan’s (Lennie James) and Madison’s (Kim Dickens) hopes to rescue Mo from PADRE did not go as planned. Now, Morgan, Madison and the others they brought to the island are living under PADRE’s cynical rule. With our characters demoralized and dejected, the task of reigniting belief in a better world rests with the person Morgan and Madison set out to rescue in the first place — Morgan’s daughter, Mo.

The Walking Dead: Dead City: premieres June 2023.
A new series set in The Walking Dead Universe, starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, The Walking Dead: Dead City envisions the popular Maggie and Negan characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror. Eli Jorné, who has been a writer and co-executive producer on The Walking Dead for multiple seasons serves as showrunner and executive producer on the series, which is overseen by Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe. Cohan and Morgan will also serve as executive producers, along with Brian Bockrath.
