Remember that strange cocoon in one of the end-credit scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Some fans are theorizing that it contains Adam Warlock (yes, this part is true) who also has the last of the Infinity Stones–the Soul Stone (ummm, maybe not). Here’s the tweet:
@Russo_Brothers @JamesGunn 99% sure the Soul Stone is with HIM! The @Avengers just need some harbulary batteries to get to him #WhereisTheSoulStone pic.twitter.com/C1s9fhXdgP

As fan theories go, this one’s pretty good. And, to be fair, it’s pretty believable, especially considering the history of Adam Warlock in the Marvel Universe. Syfy wire gave us this quick history lesson:
“HIM” in this instance, is Adam Warlock, the powerful cosmic character originally simply called “Him” in the pages of Marvel Comics. Originally created by the scientists of the Enclave in an endeavor to craft a perfect human, Adam Warlock ultimately became a wielder of the Soul Gem (in the comics, they’re gems instead of stones), and then became trapped within it (long story). During the Inifinity Gauntlet miniseries, he was resurrected, and played a key role in defeating Thanos, including at one point wielding the Gauntlet himself. In a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 coda scene, he’s introduced as a being gestating in a cocoon, created by High Priestess Ayesha to be the next step in the evolution of the golden Sovereign race. The combination of his major role in The Infinity Gauntlet and his teased introduction in Vol. 2 have led many fans to believe he’s a secret major player in Infinity War.” Read the full Syfy wire article here >>>
Guardians director James Gunn, however, quickly shot down this theory:
You would be 99% incorrect then. Sorry!
— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) April 5, 2018
Hmmm, only 99% incorrect? Ha! As can be expected, fans took Gunn’s replay and ran with it:
So you're tellin' me there's a chance…. pic.twitter.com/Xmb3t6BzEJ

Wait … Why only 99% not 100%?

Hmm that 1%…

Of course, there are a couple interesting theories making the rounds. Such as:
Ayesha used The soul stone to give life to Adam. So,it's with her.

It is with Brie Larson. Or maybe Brie Larson is trapped in the soul world. Cap Marvel movie will have the stone origins. Also, the prelude comics, show soul stone lost somewhere in our galaxy with Jupiter, Saturn around. Moon Titan is there which can be planet titan. #guesswork

Damn…I should have said 9%…1% sure it is with HER then.? pic.twitter.com/MbQlGzj37g

Ha ha… let the fan theories fly! We’re almost there. Avengers: Infinity War is almost upon us, and it’s shaping up to be the biggest film in a decade.
