Look who we found! It’s Jay and [look-a-like] Silent Bob. Although Jason (Jay) was more-than-happy to snap this shot, we had to settle for this cosplay Kevin…although the guy looked EXACTLY like Kevin Smith. Jay and Kevin were the prom-kings of the Con this year, showing up in every panel, every party, every show. Here’s some of what they had going on.
KEVIN SMITH (Silent Bob)
Kevin Smith is a Comic-Con mainstay, and he was ALL OVER this year’s Con, even though he got kinda’ stiffed (see our article) by the Star Wars Concert. Oh well. But the Jay and Silent Bob mastermind didn’t let that dampen his spirits. He had a pretty full Comic-Con schedule, hosting panels, private events, shows and screenings. That guy’s in high demand.
JASON MEWES (Jay)
The other half of the Jay and Silent Bob duo (the Jay half) was making a splash at the Con too, promoting his Mewes Juice, making people laugh at the Jay and Silent Bob Get Old comedy event (sold out), at the panel for Scooby-Doo! and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery (KISS was there too!), doing a Clerks signing, and talking about the Mallrats sequel!
