WONDER WOMAN’S INVISIBLE PLANE COMING TO COMIC-CON TO CELEBRATE 75 YEAR’S OF THE ICONIC SUPER-HERO

DC is going BIG for this year’s Comic-Con. In addition to a Suicide Squad takeover of the Hard Rock Hotel, a giant Hall-H presentation, and tons of other DC Rebirth nuggets, word out today from DC is that Wonder Woman’s iconic invisible plane will be landing at the convention this year.

Attendees to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con can expect to see the unseeable — kind of. Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment will be bringing a life-size replica of Wonder Woman’s iconic invisible jet to the annual pop culture display, as part of a year-long celebration of the 75th anniversary of the character’s creation.

The invisible jet — which will illuminate at night — will be accompanied by a series of one-off Wonder Woman-inspired graffiti artworks and displays of Wonder Woman costumes from the 1970s Lynda Carter TV series and Gal Gadot in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and next year’s Wonder Woman movie. Additionally, a “Wonder Woman 75” panel will discuss the long history of the amazon princess.

Things are heating up! The competition for Comic-con dominance is going fierce between DC and Marvel. Marvel is bringing the director and cast of Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange, whereas DC is bringing Suicide Squad in addition to whatever else they’ve got up their spandex sleeves. Since D23 means that Marvel Studios will likely skip next year’s Comic-Con, this is the year we’ll see the battle of the two comic titans in full swing.
