From DEADLINE:
The X-Files is looking strong in Live+3. Sunday’s premiere of Fox’s revival starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson grew to 20.3 million viewers in L+3, surpassing the original series’ most-watched Season 5 (19.8 million in 1997-1998). Full article>>

The Hollywood Reporter: X-Files biggest premier to date, second only to Empire.
The special, post-NFL outing of the event series is averaging 20.3 million viewers and a massive 7.8 rating among adults 18-49 now that initial live-plus-three day ratings are in. That makes it broadcast’s second-biggest scripted episode of the season, shy of Empire‘s sophomore premiere, and the highest-rated post-NFL conference championship episode of a scripted series in more than a decade. The pent-up passion for this series erupted this week–aided by numerous appearances at Comic-Cons and fan events this past year, most notably New York Comic Con. Let’s hope the enthusiasm for this great series will last for quite a while.
