WRISTBANDS ARE BACK FOR HALL H LINEUP: LET THE CONFUSION BEGIN

I didn’t do the wristbands last year, although I tried to. I was out there in the wee hours of the night, but apparently all the wristbands had been handed out….so, in all truthfulness, I guess I can’t give a fair assessment of how it worked, but if it allows a person to get a wristband (like getting a ticket) and then come back before 7:30 a.m. to get a guaranteed spot it line, that sounds pretty cool…..if you’ve ever been to Disneyland or Walt Disney World, this sounds like the same thing they do with Fastpasses….you get a Fastpass that lets you come back later to ride a ride…..the map above shows where to pick up the wristbands each night.

According to the Toucan Blog, if you get a wristband, this is how it works:

1. You may immediately line up for the following day’s first panel in Hall H.

2. You may leave someone to hold your place in line, and return before 7:30 AM to meet them. You will be allowed to join them in line as long as you have your wristband. Please keep in mind that all members of your group will need to get your wristbands at the same time, so plan accordingly.

3. You may leave, get a good night’s rest, and return to the end of the wristband line before 7:30 AM. Please keep in mind that you must be there before 7:30 AM.

Hmmm, I’d love to hear from anyone who actually camped out last year and successfully got a wristband. AND if you got a wristband, did you still need to camp out? Here are two sites that explain how it works. First, Comic Con’s own Toucan Blog. And secondly, Tony over at crazy4comiccon weighs in.
