FULL MOVIE & TV PANEL SCHEDULE — ONLY OVERNIGHT CAMPERS WILL GET IN

Pretty big selection of film and TV panels this year (Walking Dead. Star Wars. Game of Thrones. X-Men Apocalypse.) I LOVE movies. I grew up with them. But I know that neither me nor most of you will be able to get into most of these awesome panels. Why? Because of “Twilight,” that’s why. The year that the first “Twilight” came to SDCC is the year that the celebrity-obsessed, star-stalkers camped out for nights to see their beloved Robert Pattinson, clogging up Hall H and preventing the rest of us from being able to see James Cameron with the first 20 minutes of “Avatar.” That was the tipping point year from which we’ve never returned.

Don’t get me wrong. I love seeing some of my favorite shows and stars as much as the next guy, but today’s celebrity obsession is beyond acceptable. Heck, it’s even been labeled a mental disorder: “Celebrity worship syndrome is an obsessive-addictive disorder in which a person becomes overly involved with the details of a celebrity’s personal life.” Because of this EXTREME obsession, I won’t venture into the Hall H or Ballroom 20 lines anytime a show from CW or a Young Adult Novel adaptation is scheduled, unless I want to be trampled and elbowed in the gut by every tween and her equally-obsessed mother. But I digress…..we’ve all got our fandoms (I waited 3 hours for the X-Files reunion….hypocrite much?), so SCREENRANT broke down all the films and TV shows at this year’s Con.
