This will likely be another popular “outside Comic-Con” attraction. In addition to Conan’s daily live show from Comic-Con, and Comic-Con HQ’s daily coverage, there’s a third big player in town and they’ve just landed a big fish. Funnyman Will Arnett, from Arrested Development fame and the latest (and hardly viewed) Ninja Turtles movie, will be Syfy’s host for the daily show, taking place over by the Mariott.
Will Arnett has been tapped to host Syfy Presents Live From Comic-Con, the network’s first live three-night telecast from the San Diego confab, July 21-23.
Each night, Arnett will invite fans at the network’s outdoor stage to discuss and engage in the Con’s breaking news, insider party coverage, and exclusive content, along with sneak peeks of the most anticipated films and TV series. He’ll also conduct interviews with stars from the hottest franchises during the three-night broadcast.

“We’re so excited to have Will host our first-ever Syfy Presents Live From Comic-Con,” said Heather Olander, Senior Vice President, Alternative Series Development and Production, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, Entertainment Networks, in a press release. “There is nobody more perfect to host this event than Will, who has created iconic roles for every part he plays, appealing to so many unique audiences. This year we’re thrilled to be able to give viewers at home a live, real-time Comic-Con experience with Will at the helm.”
Information on how to get tickets will be available soon, but the event space likely will hold only 300 to 400 guests — so in other words, more lines. Stay tuned! We’re having lunch next week with one of the producers of this Syfy event, so hopefully we’ll have more info at that time.
